Never sacrificing accuracy.
A phrase I live by.
Who am I?
I am a military history consultant specializing in World War 2 and Cold War history, uniforms, weapons, equipment, vehicles and tactics.
I have over 20 years of experience in these subjects, 10 years of which were of full time work and in-depth research in the field of the Second World War German soldier.
I have never treated my body of research as trivial, like a weekend hobby or a passing interest. Rather, my work is substantive, far reaching and exhaustive. Other than utilizing only written, primary source material, my research also includes extensive photographic and film analysis, veteran interviews, and hands-on examinations and analysis of original uniforms, weapons, equipment and vehicles from museum and privately owned collections. I go a step further in my research to include material analysis and production as well as the artifact's developmental history and manufacturing. I leave no stone unturned.
The result from all of my research and experiences is a far richer body of work that delivers more insight than the superficial information commonly found in most books. It has allowed me to know the slight nuances of how uniforms, equipment, weapons and vehicles were worn, carried or employed of which would not be commonly apparent to the layperson. This depth of my research has given me a unique expertise in these matters which has allowed me to authenticate the originality of artifacts, appraise for insurance companies and attorneys, guest lecture at universities and schools, and advise for television.
In addition to my general historical studies of the Second World War and the Cold War, I have specialized in very specific periods within these eras. Those being; combat uniforms of the German Armed Forces from 1936 to 1945, the final years on the Eastern Front, the Battle of Berlin, foreign volunteers of the German Armed Forces, the Waffen SS, Soviet Airborne Forces and Air Assault Brigades from the late 1970's to 1991, the Soviet-Afghan War and the Kalashnikov Rifle.
My personal attitude towards these subjects are passionate and unending. I never stop at educating myself and continue to relentlessly pursue these subjects to this day.
